Our arena is rideable year round thanks to underground and surface drains that ensure even after incredible rainfall we dont miss a day of riding. We built the arena half with a solid wall, and half with no fencing at all, so depending on what you are trying to achieve with your horse, you have options. The arena is surrounded by massive oak trees proving a beautiful setting to ride. Our full show course of jumps feature jump designs seen at some of the major show venues around the country so our horses are always prepared.
When designing our roundpen we decided to go extra large to ease the burden that tight circles have on horses joints and tendons. We also constructed slanted walls so that when riding and starting young horses, the riders legs are not pushed up against the wall.
Our facility sprawls across 40 acres, ensuring we have ample room for our broodmare, young horses, and turnout for our show horses. We believe that even top level show horses need turnout, which is why all of our horses go outside for 12 hours per day. Several acres of our facility consist of steady slopes and hills, which we strategically use for our young horses (to develop strength and coordination) and for show horses that could benefit from hind end strength.
Part of creating an enviroment designed with the horse in mind is abandoning the idea that the traditional 10’x10′ or 12’x12′ stall sizes are large enough. Every single stall at BE Sporthorses is 14’x14′ with a window to the outside so even while a horse is inside, they can benefit from the natural light and views our facility has to offer.
We pride ourselves on having one of the best freejump chutes in North America. Its not constructed in the middle of an arena, or a cage thrown up somewhere. It is a purpose built jump chute with world class footing and specialty freejump jumps.
